In addition to its overall sponsorship, this season AGA is
launching an exciting riders championship for lady riders - the AGA
Total Control Ladies' Championship - with the winning rider
receiving the fabulous new AGA Total Control cooker as her prize -
worth almost £10,000.
This new dimension to the sponsorship introduces a new element of
competitiveness and excitement.
Points can be earned at 28 AGA-sponsored Ladies' Open Races, which
are also qualifiers for the AGA Ladies' Hunter Chase Final at
Cheltenham in May. Points can also be earned for the Championship
at a further 22 Ladies' Open races - although these races are not
qualifiers for the final itself. Points earned in the Cheltenham
final will count double.

Points will be awarded to riders finishing in the first four
places in each of the 51 races. For the purpose of the Championship
each rider can only count the points from their best five
results during the season, plus the final at Cheltenham
(making six races in total).
If there had been this championship for lady riders last season,
then this would have been the listing of the top 10 on the day of
the final.
With 20 points available for the winner all 10 would have still
been in with a shout of winning the Championship. Going to the last
at Cheltenham, Sarah-Jane Davies was in front, but on the run in
Jane Williams took the lead.
